"True Blood"
From Reuters:
LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Oscar winner Anna Paquin will play a Holocaust heroine in “The Irena Sendler Story,” a Hallmark Hall of Fame presentation for CBS.
Sendler, a Polish woman credited with saving the lives of thousands of Jewish children during World War II, died in May at age 98.
The film goes into production next month in Latvia, for an April premiere. It is based on the book “Mother of the Children of the Holocaust: The Irena Sendler Story,” by Anna Mieszkowska.
Paquin co-stars on HBO’s vampire drama “True Blood,” which was recently picked up for a second season. She won an Oscar for her supporting role in “The Piano.”

Sounds good! Anna will always be a heroine to us fans-especially after showing us her physical talents on True Blood this week!

I’m really happy to hear about this project, I think is amazing and Anna will do a good work. This is about Irena:

Maybe Anna will return to her dark hair for this film ’cause Irena had it black.

I was just thinking, do you think Anna will put on a Polish accent for the role? She has to really, Irena was Polish after all. I liked Anna’s Spanish accent in Amistad, and her Mancunian accent in Steamboy was impressive, especially when you consider the strain her vocal chords must have been under doing that voice when you come from north America. I wish her well in her new role.

BTW Degiga, yes, I hope Anna does return to being a brunette for this role! I miss her hair being like that!

I don’t know, in H magazine she said “I’ve had it for a year and a half and it’s great, I like it. But I think if I switched hair color between seasons, my hair would fall out”, but it was before “The Irena Sendler story” project.
Does anybody know anything about “Trick ‘r treat”?’cause in IMDB is posted the it will be released on 31 october, of 2008!!! and there is not marketing. It looks like warner bros are not sure about the film, what is really sad ’cause everybody that saw it says is great and in the screamfest 2008 won the audience choice award.

I’d love to see Anna return to Film and brunette.
Like with True Blood, I’m sure she’ll do a magnificent job.

Degiga, Trick’r Treat is scheduled for a 2009 release according to Wikipedia, so we’ll probably have to wait until next year, I’m afraid.
I’m just delighted that True Blood’s coming to the UK next year. Unfortunately, I don’t have cable or satellite, so I’ll try and get a friend of mine who has to record them for me. My best bet is to wait for the series to be realsed on DVD. Then I can enjoy a good series with my favourite actress, and use the pause and zoom functions on my DVD player for a particular scene at the end of episode 6…
