Congratulations to Anna for winning Best Actress In A Series, Drama tonight at the 13th Annual Satellite Awards!

I guess it means people are really responding to what we did. I love playing Sookie because I get to do everything. She’s sweet but strong and she gets into crazy scrapes. I fought really hard to get this role and it’s been incredibly rewarding because I get to work with such amazing actors, writers and directors, and thanks to HBO, we have the resources to do some pretty high level film quality work without having to censor the subject matter or content.”

Congratulations to Anna for her Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series!! And also to True Blood for it’s nomination for Best Drama Series!

The International Press Academy announced it’s nominations for the 13th Annual Satellite Awards today. Anna was nominated in for Best Actress In A Series, Drama category! The awards will take place December 14 at Century City’s InterContinental Hotel.

True Blood will begin airing on CANAL+ in Spain on December 4th!

While a release date has not been announced yet for the True Blood Season 1 DVD, Amazon.Com already has a pre-order for the DVD. They also have a listing for a Blu-Ray version, but no option to pre-order just yet.

ETA. The DVD release date is May 12, 2009
